Johnson & Johnson heiress Casey Johnson was the daughter of New York Jets owner Robert Wood “Woody” Johnson. She was diagnosed with diabetes when she was 8 years old, and at age 14, she co-wrote a book with her father about diabetes management, Managing Your Child’s Diabetes. She was also involved with the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation (her father serves as chairman) and worked to promote awareness of the disease, but she also lived another very privileged life of partying and spending money as a socialite.

Johnson and her group of friends, including Paris and Nicky Hilton, have been known for starting public feuds and scandals. Johnson aspired to become an actress, and while she turned down a role in The Simple Life, she scored one in the Sharon Stone film Gloria, The Tinsley Bumble Show (although it never aired), and a lead role in It Girls, a 2002 documentary about the lives of young, rich Manhattanites. In 2007, she adopted a baby girl from Kazakhstan with her then-fiance John Dee, who later left her for her aunt, Libet Johnson. Johnson named her daughter Ava-Monroe after her idol, Marilyn Monroe, and started her own make-up line called Journey with British friend Lady Victoria Hervey.
Recently, Johnson was engaged to reality television star Tila Tequila, adorning her with a 17-carat diamond rock. Another less flattering spotlight in the news featured her arrest for breaking into and robbing reality star Jasmine Lennard’s apartment; Johnson denied all allegations.

As an adult, Johnson fell into a diabetic coma and had to be hospitalized twice. She was found dead in her house in Los Angeles, CA, along with insulin syringes, on January 4, 2010, at the age of 30; she was dead several days before she was found. A preliminary investigation showed she died of natural causes with no sign of foul play.
